 What are typical bandwidth rates?

Maximum download and upload speeds
Speed
kbps (kilo bits per second) Translated to: Speed KBps (Kilo Bytes per second)
128kbps = 16KBps
256kbps = 32KBps
288kbps = 36KBps
384kbps = 48KBps
768kbps = 96KBps
832kbps = 104KBps

1000kbps = 125KBps
1500kbps = 187.5KBps
2000kbps = 250KBps
3000kbps = 375KBps
4000kbps = 500KBps
5000kbps = 625KBps
6000kbps = 750KBps
7000kbps = 875KBps
8000kbps = 1000KBps

 10000kbps = 1250KBps (1.25 MB/sec)
 30000kbps = 3750KBps
 50000kbps = 6250KBps
100000kbps = 12500KBps (12.5 MB/sec)

The speeds above are the same factor for Upload as well.

Note: A KiloByte = a KiloBit divided by 8
bps = bits per second - Bps= Bytes per second

Bit's and Byte's Memory Table Chart

Broadband speeds are usually displayed in kbps (kilobits per second)

byte (B) = 8 bits of data
kilobit (kb) = 1,000 bits of data
kilobyte (kB) = 1,000 bytes of data (or 8,000 bits)
megabit (Mb) = 1,000,000 bits of data
megabyte (MB) = 1,000,000 bytes of data (or 8,000,000 bits)

Bits are binary digits. A bit can hold the value 0 or 1.
There are 8 bits in a byte, you can represent 256 values ranging from 0 to 255.
With 16 bits, you can represent a range from 0 to 65,535
